In this workshop, members of Al Ahrar Toronto will discuss the use of “terr*rist designations by Western regimes to criminalize the Palestine solidarity movement and isolate activists and organizations that challenge the global imperialist status quo. These designations, charges, and labels are part of a decades-long strategy used by imperialist states to criminalize resistance movements, beginning with Black and Indigenous struggles for self-determination.

Over the past three years, these “terr*rist” charges have been increasingly used as a tactic to suppress popular support for Palestine as well as opposition to the US-Zionist-NATO war of aggression in West Asia generally. This escalated “War on Terr*r threatens to silenceour movements and criminalize our voices and communities. No person or organisation is exempt from this repressive state tactic. You, too, could one day become a “terr*rist.”

Join Al Ahrar Toronto to explore how we can come together and strategize to collectively resist this attack on the movement for Palestinian liberation and self-determination and the broader anti-imperialist movement in north amerika.

Al-Ahrar Toronto is an international organization working to support Palestinian prisoners through political education and building solidarity. Inspired by Toufan Al-Ahrar, the prisoner exchange secured by the Resistance that freed thousands of Palestinians in 2025, they amplify the struggle of Palestinian political prisoners, their conditions, and demands as they work to achieve justice and liberation for all of Palestine. They do this by organizing campaigns, hosting events, creating resources, building coalitions, and advocating for the rights of Palestinian prisoners and their families.
